Ever since we first looked at this house, we knew that it was going to be a fixer upper. That every room in this house was going to get redone. Some rooms needed just a little dry wall fix and others needed to be completely gutted and redone. In the back of my mind I thought this process was going to take about 3 years. To me that seemed like a long enough time to redo a house but as we close in on 4 years of living here and still have a large majority of the rooms that still need to be touched, I can tell the HGTV and their quick redos had lead me astray.
